Lilibet Diana, daughter of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, was born
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle announced Sunday "with immense joy" the birth of their second child, Lilibet "Lili" Diana, born Friday morning in a hospital in Santa Barbara, California.
Born on June 4, Lilibet was named in honor of Queen Elizabeth II, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex explain in a press release. Her middle name, "Diana", pays homage to Prince Harry's mother, Princess Diana.
Meghan Markle and her daughter, who weighs nearly 3.5 kilograms and is eighth in succession, "are in good health," the statement said.
"She is much more than anything we could have imagined," write Harry and Meghan of their two-year-old son Archie's little sister.
Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family are "delighted" by the birth of Prince Harry's daughter and his wife, Buckingham Palace said.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson sent his congratulations to Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle on the birth of their daughter Lilibet.

“Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of their daughter,” the Tory leader tweeted.
Prince Harry, 36, sixth in succession to the British crown, and Meghan Markle have stepped back from the royal family, effective since April 2020.
Denouncing the media pressure on their couple, they settled in California, where they launched a podcast, signed with content platforms including Netflix, and launched an Archwell Foundation to work for humanitarian causes.
