Meghan Markle and bullying: the investigation opens
Meghan Markle under investigation. Buckingham Palace will not drop charges of bullying against her
The season of intrigue in the royal family is back. The involuntary protagonist of the mechanisms of the English monarchy was the Duchess Meghan Markle who, in these days, seems to have ended up at the center of a story with dark tones and unclear consequences. In fact, the accusation of bullying made against Meghan by some members of the staff of the royal family is very recent news.
The accusation, published in the pages of The Times newspaper, is clear and very serious: Meghan would have made the life of some people of the Buckingham Palace entourage impossible, the same people who would now have decided to come out with a public exposé to put in light of the true nature of the Duchess, before she talks to Oprah's microphones.
The accusation, which also involves Harry's personal secretary as well as the human resources manager of the royal family, is very clear and very serious. Buckingham Palace, however, had not yet filtered out any specific rumors or statements regarding the article in The Times. So far at least. Today, in fact, Buckingham Palace has officially opened an investigation against Meghan.
"In agreement with the human resources team we will investigate the circumstances brought to light by the article. The Royal House has a Dignity at Work policy that has been in place for many years and will not tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace" reads in the official press release of the Palace. A very strong stance that denotes a now total distance between the royal family (or at least between the top figures of the administration of the English monarchy) and the dukes of Sussex.
Following up on an article that reports an anonymous complaint, without (at least apparent) concrete evidence, is really a peculiar stance, especially knowing the troubled (so to speak) relationship between Meghan and the English press. Especially since the rumors about an alleged "brutality" of Meghan towards the royal staff had already been circulating for some time: at the time of Harry and Meghan's farewell to the royal family, many had reported, as a cause, the alleged breakup with William and Kate born from Meghan's tendency to mortify the staff of the Dukes of Cambridge.
And now? Many are wondering what the real reasons behind the accusation against Meghan are and as many have started talking about a "ticking scandal". In fact, there are very few days left until the broadcast of Meghan's interview with Oprah, whose trailer you can see below has just been released.
An interview that has already seen the royals put in place a series of countermeasures starting from the television intervention almost simultaneously to "preside over the communication field". And, who knows if the theme is not exactly the overlap between Lady Diana and Meghan Markle: a parallelism that, in the royal family, could be very difficult to accept. And who knows that the writers of The Crown, given the recent developments, will not revise their position of not wanting to stage the latest events of the royals ...
