Queen Elizabeth has a FAVORITE grandson and he's not William (or Harry)
The children of Lady Di are the favorites of the world and England, but not necessarily of the monarch
Remember in "The Crown" they revealed that the Queen and her husband have favorite children? Well, the exact same thing happens with her grandchildren (and surely great-grandchildren) of hers. According to numerous reports, the favorite grandson of the monarch of England is not William, nor Harry, but, surprisingly: Lady Louise Windsor. The daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, is supposedly the Queen's favorite because they have had the opportunity to spend a lot of time together at Balmoral Castle, according to international media.
The 17-year-old has grown a lot too, and when it comes to her royal duties, after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left in 2020, she decided to start getting more involved with the royal family. A source told the Daily Express that Lady Louise truly "has proven to be mature, diligent and ready to work," and the Queen views her own daughter, Princess Anne, a lot with that hardworking spirit. Queen Elizabeth was reportedly very "upset and disappointed" with Prince Harry when he left for California, so it makes sense that she has come to admire and love the grandson who has swooped in to fill that gap.
Besides being the queen's favorite, Lady Louise is also a really calm person. Unlike her other cousins, Lady Louise is not a "princess". That's because her parents decided not to give her sons royal titles. Sophie revealed in an interview that the couple wanted to "raise Lady Louise and her brother with the understanding that they will most likely have to work for a living," as Princess Beatrice and Eugenia do. That down-to-earth attitude is the exact opposite of what you'd expect from someone from the royal family, but that's what makes Lady Louise so different. Lady Louise also competes in equestrian sport, something she has in common with her grandmother and her aunt, Princess Anne.
The two can often be found riding their ponies together. Those moments probably contribute to why Lady Louise is her favorite, and the Queen surely imparts a lot of wisdom to her granddaughter during those walks. Not only is she able to ride a horse with her grandmother, but she is also receiving inside information from the Queen herself. That's better than any season of "The Crown" on Netflix.
And if Louise is the favorite, people wonder who the monarch's least loved grandson is. And it's not that she doesn't feel love towards her entire family, but there is certainly one person with whom she hasn't had much time. The grandson who has the shortest time for Queen Elizabeth, at least on a private level, is apparently Prince William.
Because the 94-year-old monarch has spent much of her life advising 38-year-old William for the day he will take the throne, the Duke of Cambridge has had a much more serious relationship with her grandmother. he. As a result, reports suggest that the lack of closeness between her grandmother and her grandson has made him the least favored, compared to her brother and her other cousins.
