Six years after her mastectomy, Angelina Jolie is seen without a bra
First it was Melania Tump; now she is the actress, who is more confident and stronger than ever without a bra
In 2013, Angelina Jolie shook the world by revealing that she had undergone a double mastectomy to avoid developing breast cancer. As she recounted in a letter published by The New York Times, she made the decision after doctors found her the BRCA1 cancer gene, for which she had an 87% chance of developing breast cancer and a 50% chance of developing ovarian cancer.
"Once I knew that this was my reality, I decided to act and minimize the risk to the maximum. I then made the decision to have a preventive double mastectomy. I started with the breasts since the risk I have of suffering breast cancer is greater than that of ovarian cancer, and the surgery is more complex, "he revealed.
As we know, two years later she also had to remove both of her ovary to eliminate any risk of later cancer. This surgery, however, caused, among other things, that she entered menopause in her 40s.
Six years have passed since that operation and, now, the actress of successes like Maleficent has shown not only how much she has recovered, but also underwent reconstructive surgery that has made her feel safer, because, as she herself acknowledged , after her surgery she felt fearful in scantily clad scenes
And apparently the operation went so well that Angelina, now more confident and with high self-esteem, has been seen without a bra, a trend that Melania Trump has also followed lately.
Brad Pitt's ex-partner is currently on vacation in France, where she has worn dresses that reveal that, despite the absence of a bra, she feels comfortable with herself.
With those dresses she has also made it clear that she can continue to be feminine despite having gone through a situation as complicated as hers, from which, in addition, it has taken her a long time to recover.
It's true, Angelina Jolie had the wherewithal to undergo a double breast reconstruction that has helped her feel whole because this part of the female anatomy is important to many women. I wish that all the women in the world who are going through a similar situation and who see in their breasts an important part of her self-esteem, had the resources and the necessary support to have such a reconstruction, don't you think?
