A 1995 phrase by Lady Di already let Harry's future know
An interview from that year seems to confirm it. Not only is the connection between the two reiterated, but Prince Harry's decision to move away from the royal family is not totally random.
Princess Diana was a woman who, above many things, was deeply adored by her children. Over the years, the close relationship that Lady Di and Prince Harry had has come to light, who since childhood was seen to not fully assimilate the myriad protocols that royalty deals with.
We already know roughly the story of Prince Harry; after having their rebellious years (like any teenager who is about to become an adult). He took a year off, worked in a stable and founded an orphanage, shortly thereafter produced the documentary 'The Forgotten Kingdom', which indirectly highlighted his relationship with Africa, a continent that was also loved by his mother. He joined the military instead of choosing a career and later, he returned to his family to fulfill the schedule he had been assigned with. He is known to be the second most popular royal figure, second only to Queen Elizabeth.
Although he had a few girlfriends, none stole her heart the way Suits star Meghan Markle did, who left her life in Toronto to move to London and marry Prince Harry. This couple caused a stir since it became known, a sentiment that remains particularly valid after letting the world know that they had made the decision to stop being 'Senior Royals', as well as to leave England to go live in Canada.
Much is said about this decision, so it is not surprising that some things are currently coming to light, such as an interview with Princess Diana by Martin Bashir (from the BBC) in which she is asked about many things; one of them is about her children.
"William is very similar to his father, he is more traditional and rational, but Harry ... he is like me," he assured the interviewer. We know that among the data on Princess Diana's personality, she was not assiduous in following all the protocols; she is remembered as a warm person who approached people ... for something she was called "the princess of the people", rebellion that is shared by Harry.
At the time, Lady Di divorced and left the royal family after her divorce with Prince Charles, now her son follows (unintentionally) in his mother's footsteps, in order to create a life apart, which includes moving to Canada with his wife, Meghan Markle and their son Archie. This separation does not mean saying goodbye to his paternal family, rather it means that he will take on another type of responsibility and with it, they give a new vision to all those traditions that used to define them as part of the royal family.
Although the future of the Dukes of Sussex in its entirety is still uncertain (as it is something that is still in discussions with the crown), we cannot help but think about that unique connection that he has with Princess Diana.
Certainly this decision not only puts Harry and his family in another direction, so we cannot wait to see what other surprises they will have, as their work as spokesmen for the royal family is expected to continue in Canada (although in a much more important way. dosed).
It is possible to ask the question of why they would separate themselves from all the privileges that being part of a family with this type of inheritance in their history can imply, but the truth is that they are aware that being people who have a voice that can being heard, you can do more by moving away a little from what will no doubt always be referred to by them as home. We can't wait to see what both of them will do as a 'normal' family.
