Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are hoping to have their baby daughter Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor christened in the UK, according to reports.

A source close to the couple has revealed that they are hopeful of hosting their baby girl's Christening at Windsor Castle, like they did with her older brother Archie Harrison.

Baby Lilibet was born on June 4 in California, and has yet to visit her British Royal Family members in the United Kingdom.

The source has now claimed that Prince Harry has told a number of friends and close confidantes that he and wife Meghan are eager to have Lili christened at the same place as Archie in a special moment for the family.

"Harry told several people that they want to have Lili christened at Windsor, just like her brother,” they told the Daily Mail.

The publication added that the insider suggested the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are happy to “wait until circumstances allow”.

Archie, who is now two years old, was christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury at St. George's Chapel, Windsor in the summer of 2019.

Harry and Meghan made sure their firstborn son's special day was a strictly private event, and according to their unauthorised biography Finding Freedom just 22 guests attended.

Since moving to America in 2020, Harry has been home to England twice - once for his grandfather Prince Philip's funeral in April, and earlier this summer to unveil a new statue of his late mother Princess Diana on what would have been her 60th birthday.

Meghan, Archie nor Lilibet have travelled back to the UK since the family's big move.

If reports are true and baby Lili is to be christened at St George's Chapel, it may well be the first time the Sussexes visit their British Royal Family members as a family of four.
