Prince William vs. Meghan: "That damn woman is merciless"
In his latest book "Battle of Brothers" Robert Lacey reveals unpublished background on the allegations of bullying involving Meghan Markle and the reaction of Prince William
In the royal family, things would not go well at all. For weeks we have been talking about the seemingly unbridgeable distance between Prince William and Prince Harry. The former has now taken on the role of staunch defender of the Crown against the latter, who has become Meghan Markle's shield. The accusations of bullying directed at the Duchess of Sussex, then, did nothing but complicate the situation, making the climate between the brothers even more heated.
Meghan a bully?
In his latest book, "Battle of Brothers", Robert Lacey traces the stages of the quarrel between Prince William and Harry, which is creating many problems at Buckingham Palace. According to the expert, the origin of the misunderstandings would be the Duchess of Sussex and her manipulative and cruel behavior, at least so the tabloids tell it, towards 10 members of the court staff. In October 2018, the Duke of Cambridge reportedly received an email from his communications secretary, Jason Knauf, who, bluntly, revealed: "I am very concerned that the Duchess was able to get two PAs to leave. from the family in the last year ".
According to Knauf, the former actress's behavior was "totally unacceptable" because "Meghan always targeted someone". A bulla, in short. In this regard, Robert Lacey wrote: "[Meghan] was being bullying with the staff of the Palazzo". These confessions were the proverbial bolt from the blue for Prince William, to which were added the testimonies of the alleged bullied collaborators.
The Duke of Cambridge, Lacey continues, decided to find out what the truth was and phoned his brother, asking for an explanation. The latter's reaction, however, left him dumbfounded. Relates the biographer: “Harry closed the phone angrily, so William went to him to talk to him in person. The prince was horrified by what he had been told about Meghan's alleged behavior and he wanted to hear what Harry had to say. "
Not even the meeting between brothers had any effect. For Harry, the accusations were just an attempt at defamation behind which the specter of racism lurked. William, already angry because of the phone call that ended abruptly, went home with a fixed thought, namely that Meghan "was hostile to the real system," writes Robert Lacey. The only possible solution was to get her away from her. "He just didn't want to have [Meghan] and Harry around anymore," says the expert, noting that "Meghan would have played the victim, but she was actually the bully." The Duke of Cambridge then made the most painful choice: to separate his offices, his duties and his staff from that of his brother. "William kicked Harry out," Lacey reveals, enabling him to leave Kensington Palace.

The background, however, does not end there. Prince William, always impeccable in his ways, would have judged Meghan Markle's behavior intolerable, to the point of going into a rage and letting off steam with very heavy words. Lacey continues: "According to one of my sources, he was pointed out that everyone has a difficult sister-in-law." At that point, “William's response was to nod his head in wise acceptance. Then suddenly burst into anger. 'The way that damned woman treated my staff was ruthless' ".
In fact William and Kate, the newspapers say, are always very kind and respectful towards their collaborators and tend to establish relationships of trust with them that are destined to last over time. In short, they prefer to surround themselves with people with whom they hope to work in peace for years. Quite the opposite of Meghan who, with arrogance, would have treated the staff as servants. According to Lacey, members of the Sussex and Cambridge entourage felt "humiliated". A source also added: “I overheard a conversation between Harry and one of his best aides. Harry was yelling into the phone ”. Even some of Harry's friends would admit: "Meghan can be a 500% nightmare." But who is really Meghan Markle?
