The English prefer Prince William to Charles
The British are categorical: the British monarchy must rejuvenate. How? 'Or' What ? By preferring William to Charles, of course! Since the announcement of her engagement last week, the English have been won over. They would see the Dauphin take a direct option on the throne of England with his future Lady. Indeed, the polls follow one another and all indicate that Prince Charles's rating is at half mast.
The British want Kate and William, period. In a poll published by News of The World, 64% of people believe that the couple formed by Prince William and his fiancee Kate Middleton is better for the long-term future of the British monarchy than that formed by Charles and Camilla. Rebelote in a poll conducted for People which indicates that 49% of the English want William and his fiancée to accede to the throne, against only 16% for Charles and Camilla.
