American TV. His tweet about Barron Trump gets him suspended
Saturday Night Live author Katie Rich has been suspended "indefinitely" after a much-criticized tweet about Barron Trump, the son of the newly-elected president. Chelsea Clinton in person defended the young boy.
While some Americans try to decipher the behavior of Melania Trump, seeing in her failure to smile evidence of unease, it is a tweet about the president's son that has not gone unnoticed.
An "indelicate" post
On January 20, Trump's inauguration day, Katie Rich, author of Saturday Night Live, the popular NBC sketch show, hinted that 10-year-old Barron was at risk of "a shootout." “Barron will be the first homeschooled kid to shoot at his school,” she tweeted.
Very quickly criticized at the time of publication, the post has since disappeared and Katie Rich apologized, calling her post "indelicate." “I sincerely apologize for my insulting tweet. I deeply regret my actions and offensive words. It’s inexcusable and I’m very sorry ”.
