DC GIVES SCARLETT JOHANSSON ROLE AFTER BREAKING WITH MARVEL
This wouldn't be the first time DC has been cast by Marvel's top talents
The relationship between Scarlett Johansson and Marvel became somewhat strange, as the actress decided to sue Disney, and therefore the house of the mouse decided to end all future projects with her, but one of the main studios is taking advantage of this and it breaks through at the right time: we are talking about DC.
And it is that after breaking ties with Marvel, it seems that Johansson has had approaches with Warner Bros and they are talking about a future in the DC Universe.
But the search to incorporate the actress into this universe would not be the first time that DC has launched by the best talents of Marvel when there is a vacancy, and as an example we have the director of The Suicide Squad, James Gunn, who revealed that Warner Bros got in touch with him just days after being fired from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Gunn is now very comfortable with the DCEU, with several projects underway.
History of the problem
Recall that the company not only launched Black Widow in streaming at the same time as its theatrical release, and then refused to renegotiate her contract, but later issued a public statement shaming her for suing them during a pandemic, something that could propel Scarlett to accept a role with DC.
There is no doubt that working with DC could have great advances for the actress, and she would not only be in revenge against Disney. The source that has made the information public, Giant Freakin Robot, has not provided more details about which character it is that has been offered to the interpreter, or if it is a heroine or a villain.
At the moment, speculation about what role she could play is already beginning. She could be "Poison Ivy" a villain who was sought out by Margot Robbie for inclusion in these DC Extended Universe movies.
