Dwayne Johnson, 'The Rock', marries Lauren Hashian in a secret ceremony
The actor and the singer, who have been in a relationship for 12 years and have two daughters in common, have celebrated the marriage in Hawaii
Actor Dwayne Johnson, known as The Rock, 47, got married this weekend in Hawaii to Lauren Hashian, 34, in a secret ceremony. This was announced by Johnson himself on his Instagram account this Monday. "Yes we want, August 18, 2019. Hawaii," the actor wrote with a beautiful image of both dressed in white. The couple have been in a relationship for 12 years and have two children together.
Johnson and Hashian met in 2006 while filming the movie Surprise Dad. At that time the interpreter was married to the producer Dany Garcia, his first wife and mother of his eldest daughter, Simone, 18 years old. This marriage lasted ten years, until they divorced in 2007.
Since then, the actor and singer have shared their lives and have had two daughters: 3-year-old Jasmine and 16-month-old Tiana. Now, after several years of living together, the couple has decided to go one step further and get married. It has been a decision of both to keep the wedding preparations a secret and announce their wedding a day later, by surprise. Last July, Johnson cleared up rumors that he and Hashian had been secretly married, explaining that they were in no rush to get married. "I just refer to her as my wife all the time. So a lot of people say, 'Oh, did you get married?" He said on Entertainment Tonight. "I'm like: 'No, take it easy, don't be in a hurry, big daddy."
Congratulations to the couple have not been long in coming. Congratulations messages include Jumanji co-stars Kevin Hart and Karen Gillian, as well as Homeland football player Tom Brady and Houston Texans J. J. Watt.
