Jennifer Lopez made history again, and big! The actress and singer of Puerto Rican origin proudly displayed her Latin origins during her participation in the inauguration of Joe Biden as president of the United States speaking Spanish during her performance.
Dressed entirely in white and sporting a ponytail, JLo took the podium to sing the traditional songs "This land is your land" and "America the beautiful".
Almost at the end of the song Jennifer Lopez said unexpectedly in Spanish: "A nation under God, indivisible, with freedom and justice for all," JLo shouted as she smiled at everyone.
Then, JLo sang the verse of one of her songs, “Let's Get Loud” and finally returned to the last verses of “This Land is Your Land”.
This is the first time in US history that Spanish has been spoken during a presidential inauguration.
Jennifer Lopez's performance went smoothly, although the day before she was very nervous, her fiancé Alex Rodriguez revealed to Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show.
