A collage of her that she shared of her through her Instagram stories of hers in which she posted two photos of her in 2009 in which her acne was undoubtedly visible - even though her famous celebrity was wearing makeup-. "She was 13 and every day she came home crying because people saw my skin," she revealed.
This challenge - which consists of publishing a photo from 10 years ago and another from 2019 - undoubtedly aroused mixed feelings for the 23-year-old supermodel, because despite being one of the biggest challenges for her, Kendall wants to raise awareness around to acne and the insecurities it causes.
“While there are bigger problems in the world, suffering from acne was debilitating for me. It is something that I had to deal with as a teenager and it has caused me to feel anxious, powerless and insecure. As humans, I don't think we share our insecurities enough because we live in a time when being perfect is the norm. We curate our life online and choose the most beautiful moments to post. I would like to show the younger generation that not everything is perfect. Feeling insecure about my acne strengthened me, but I would never want anyone to have this feeling. […] It has been a long road but I am excited about how my skin is now. I never thought the day would come when I would feel safe posting a photo without makeup. "
The best? It is that, for Kendall, the passage of time transformed her in a positive way, by completely eliminating her acne as well demonstrated with a current photo that she uploaded, in which she appears naturally, with a towel in her hair -and without imperfections-.
