Meghan Markle: her father Thomas ready to sue her to see Archie and Lilibet
Thomas Markle has not yet had the opportunity to see his grandchildren. In the "very near future", he intends to take his daughter to court to regain her rights as a grandfather.
Attacks from all over. Meghan Markle is far from unanimous with the British and she even receives attacks from her own family. By validating the marriage between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Queen Elisabeth II proved that she wanted to shake up the royal tradition. The monarchy cannot survive a new drama, always marked by the failure of the marriage between Princess Diana and Prince Charles.
But now, Meghan Markle does not intend to comply with the rules and it is far from the United Kingdom, with Prince Harry and his children that she has decided to lead her own life, without royal titles. If the former actress distances herself from the royal family, she did the same with her father, Thomas Markle. The latter has not said his last word and he intends to do everything to see his grandchildren.
Meghan Markle soon to be sued?
"I will take Harry and Meghan to court in the United States to see my grandchildren (...) in the very near future," Thomas Markle, 77, announced in an interview with Fox News. The father has never met his grandchildren, or even Prince Harry and he intends to make a difference; a threat that is not new. Due to a heart problem, it was Prince Charles who led Meghan Markle to the altar on her wedding day in May 2018, but this absence could be due to another reason.
A frozen relationship
Relations between Meghan Markle and her father are very strained. The young mother still had a hard time forgetting the false paparazzade that her father had made a few months before his wedding to make people talk about him. In her interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle said that she "had trouble coming to terms with him" and that she had felt "betrayed". Thomas Markle wants to move forward and he is ready to do anything to see his grandchildren, even if it means suing his own daughter. "We should not punish (Lili) for the bad behavior of Meghan and Harry. Archie and Lili are young children. They are not politicians. They are not pawns. They are not part of the game," said explained Thomas Markle.
