MELANIA TRUMP STRIKES BACK THE HISTORIAN'S CRITICS OF THE ROSE GARDEN

Former first lady Melania Trump lashed out at a presidential historian who had criticized the renovations she made to the White House rose garden.
Michael Beschloss, a historian and NBC contributor who specializes in the United States presidency, led. Saturday to criticize Trump's changes as an "evisceration" and an affront to US history.
"The gutting of the White House rose garden was completed a year ago this month, and this was the disheartening result: decades of American history made to disappear," Beschloss wrote, along with a picture of last year's garden that does not show many flowers. .
The . Melania Trump's Office account retweeted the post, accusing Beschloss of being "misleading" and doubting his credibility as a historian.

Trump announced in July 2020 that he would renovate the Rose Garden, which American presidents frequently use for speeches and other appearances. The renewal was revealed in August of last year.
This year, a petition asking First Lady Jill Biden and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff to undo Trump's changes and restore the garden to its previous state has garnered more than 80,0000 signatures, Insider's Thomas Colson reported.

Some people had criticized the removal of 10 crabapple trees, which the White House said were moved to another location on the White House grounds, and the removal of some colorful flowers.
But Reuters reported that many of the widely shared claims about Trump's renewals were false.
