THIS IS HOW DWAYNE JOHNSON SURPRISED HIS USUAL DOUBLE ACTION
The actor takes advantage of the premiere of his latest film to reward the work of one of his colleagues.
There are plenty of dangerous stunt sports, but surely none are as fun as Dwayne Johnson's stuntman. And more, knowing the recent history of The Rock in Hollywood, with numerous blockbusters and a career that has no signs of stopping anytime soon.
As a sign of gratitude for so much work, Johnson posted on Instagram this past Monday a surprise that he had prepared for what is his usual stunt double, Tanoai Reed. Both have participated together in The skyscraper, a priori one of The Rock's biggest disappointments at the box office in recent years. Reed is also his cousin, so he fits that the surprise was actually a gift in the form of a black pick-up truck.
"SURPRISE! I love giving keys. I love you, brother, and enjoy your new truck!" Johnson has written on his Instagram next to the surprise video, in which Reed appears visibly emotional and even crying. "Throughout my career, my stunt double (and cousin) Tanoai Reed has broken a lot of bones, tendons, ligaments and has been a great boss, earning 'Stuntman of the Year' awards multiple times. All with one goal in mind. mind: getting the best possible film for the rest of the world. "
Johnson later recounted that he had convinced Reed that they were going to do an interview for the Behind the Scenes DVD of the film, but that in reality what awaited him at their meeting place was a van in which to move now that he was he is recovering from a recent injury.
"Tanoi not only represents our family and my career with inexhaustible commitment and passion, but also represents an entire Hollywood stunt community that is truly the backbone of our industry. I love you and thank you for the blood, the sweat, the tears and the years. We just started. Enjoy your truck! "
Johnson and Reed's next collaboration is likely to go through Jungle Cruise, the new Disney movie directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and that just released its first promotional video today with The Rock and Emily Blunt doing the presentation honors.
