Actress Amber Heard admits hitting Johnny Depp
American actress Amber Heard admitted on Tuesday that she once hit her ex-husband Johnny Depp in defense of her sister, but denied having an affair with billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, during the libel lawsuit that her ex-husband Johnny Depp sued the British tabloid The Sun.
The 34-year-old actress is called as a witness by the Sun's defense, which Johnny Depp is suing for calling him in April 2018 as an abusive husband. The newspaper's publisher, NGN, cites 14 incidents in which the hero of Pirates of the Caribbean was allegedly violent towards his wife, a claim the 57-year-old actor denies.
For his part, he blamed his ex-wife for violence and for having had several relationships during the two years of their stormy marriage, with actor James Franco, but also with the founder of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk, which 'she always fiercely denied.
Under questions from her former husband's lawyer, Eleanor Lawes, Ms Heard admitted on Tuesday that she hit the 57-year-old actor in an incident in 2015, in order to prevent him from pushing his sister, Whitney Henriquez, into stairs.
"I hit Johnny that day to defend my sister," the actress admitted in the High Court in London on her second day on the witness stand.
"He was going to push her up the stairs and, the moment it happened, I remembered hearing he had pushed a former girlfriend - Kate Moss, I believe - down the stairs," she said. added.
Claiming to keep this "rumor" of "two people", she explained that she "acted in a flash to defend her", adding that she had never before responded to the "years" of violence by her ex-husband. "I have never dealt a blow and I will never forget this incident ... It was the first time in all these years" that I had hit him, she said.
Accused of infidelity
Ms Laws accused Amber Heard on Tuesday of having regularly received nightly visits from the whimsical Tesla boss in March 2015.
"I wasn't even in contact with Elon until 2016," she defended.
Ms Laws read to court a text message from Elon Musk in 2016, the day after an alleged assault in which Johnny Depp, according to Amber Heard, hit the actress in the face with his cell phone.
In that message, Mr. Musk offered to pay the American woman protection service against her husband. "My offer holds even if you never want to see me again ... Anyway, sorry for being a jerk," he wrote in the text.
“This radio silence hurts a lot,” he continues. I only care because I really like you. "
Mr Depp's lawyer also accused Ms Heard of having had an affair with American actor James Franco, providing in support of videos taken in 2016 by security cameras showing them together, shortly after an argument with his client.
According to the actress, it is "completely wrong" that she was having an affair with Mr. Franco. "We talked. He was like "Oh my god, what happened to you?" "Amber Heard assured me.
She accused her ex-husband on Monday of having subjected her to verbal and physical assault, threats and intimidation for two years, claiming to have been afraid on several occasions that he would kill her.
According to her, he blamed what he called "the monster", "rather than himself" for his actions, often under the influence of drugs.
Johnny Depp strongly rejects these accusations, saying he never raised a hand on any woman and in return accusing his ex-wife of violence, whom he portrays as a narcissistic and sociopathic calculator, anxious to destroy his life.
