Celebrities often casually show their affection in public. Either the intimacy makes people touched or even disgusted when they see it. The UK MSN site then created a poll to determine which celebrity was considered the most disgusting when making out in front of many people.
Angelina Jolie and her brother intimate kiss while attending the Oscars in 2000 finally came out as the winner. 39 percent of the poll participants agreed that the kiss was disgusting.
Another display of intimacy that is considered disgusting is the kiss of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise at the premiere night of the film WAR OF THE WORLD. While in third place was the aging actress Liza Minelli and David Gest on their wedding day.
Relationship expert, Tracey Cox commented on the phenomenon of showing off intimacy among celebrities. "Showing affection is not only triggered by the desire to touch your partner. Some of them are sometimes a sign that their partner should not be disturbed. Zoologists call this 'guarding a partner'," he said.
When talking about showing off affection, Cox emphasized that this includes holding hands, kissing, and linking hands. "If it's heavy making out, that's not included of course," he concluded.
