Kylie Jenner admits she didn't become a billionaire on her own
Kylie Jenner has admitted that she didn't become a billionaire on her own; she did have help.
However, the honor was immediately met with controversy over whether Jenner could really be called self-made or not. After all, she came from a wealthy family that provided her with certain opportunities and connections that other people in her position did not have when starting a business.
In a recent New York Times article on the business side of the Kardashian and Jenner family, Stormi's mother touched on her current title and the reaction surrounding it. The 21-year-old was honest about the fact that she didn't earn the honor on her own.
"I can't say I did it myself. They're just talking about finances, technically, yes, I don't have inherited money. But I've had a lot of help and a huge platform," Jenner shared with the newspaper.
Jenner acknowledged that she was lucky when it came time to develop her cosmetic line. She knows that she had opportunities that other people might not have because of her name, being on a reality show, and her massive followers on social media.

When she started her business, it was simply because she loves makeup and she was looking to create her own company as well as a separate brand outside of her famous family. Forbes named her the youngest self-made billionaire in 2019 was something she never realized, or would dream it would happen.

Kylie Jenner is fully aware that she did not earn billionaire status on her own. Although financially the money is all hers and she was earned thanks to her hard work, the beauty mogul understands that she was in a very fortunate position.
It's essential to remember that Jenner's empire isn't just Kylie Cosmetics. Her fortune comes from two reality shows, various promoted products, as well as her Kendall + Kylie clothing line and her association with Adidas.
