Lady Gaga: recover the singer's two dogs stolen in a violent assault in Los Angeles
Singer Lady Gaga's two French bulldogs who were robbed Wednesday night after an armed assailant shot the man who was walking the dogs in Los Angeles' Hollywood neighborhood have been recovered.
According to US media confirmed, a woman took the animals to a police station. Apparently, she would have found them on the street.
Authorities have yet to apprehend the assailants who fired a semiautomatic pistol at Lady Gaga's dog walker to steal her dogs.
The victim was taken to hospital and is recovering from her injuries.
Lady Gaga had offered a $ 500,000 reward for whoever returned her dogs, but it is unclear if the woman who turned them over to police will receive the money.
Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, is currently in Rome working on a new Ridley Scott film.
It is not an isolated incident
It is not known if Lady Gaga's pets were stolen due to the status of her owner or if it was a random or planned attack, due to the breed of dog involved.
And this is not the first incident involving French bulldogs. There have been several cases in the United States of violent thefts of these animals.
In January, a woman in San Francisco was attacked at gunpoint by three men who escaped from her with her five-month-old puppy.
French bulldogs are very popular and in high demand, but they are very difficult to breed. They require artificial insemination and the physical characteristics of the dog (a large head and shoulders) mean that puppies generally have to be removed from their mothers by cesarean section.
The price of a puppy can range from $ 2,000 to $ 10,000.
Lady Gaga is known to be extremely protective of her dogs, who accompanied her to the American Music Awards and her 2017 Super Bowl halftime show.
