Matrix Resurrections: the trailer is finally here!
The trailer for the long-awaited fourth installment of the Matrix saga is finally available on the web with its official title Matrix Resurrections and has left no one indifferent. The Matrix 4 trailer was first unveiled at a Warner Bros. CinemaCon event. Pictures, on Tuesday August 24 in Las Vegas.
Cultivate the mystery
Two days before the trailer was made official, the “What is The Matrix” website was reactivated. The page offers the famous blue and red pills which each lead to different teasers. These fairly short clips don't offer a lot of keys to the film itself, but they are very intriguing. The site's designers figured out a way to incorporate the time of day you watch them into the teasers, but the clips also change based on that timing. You can have fun going over them again to try to find new details.
The trailer released on September 9 reveals a little more, although again, it remains intentionally evasive as to the film's plot. It features Thomas Anderson AKA Neo (Keanu Reeves), Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) and Neil Patrick Harris as a psychologist. "Do you think I'm nuts?" Neo asks, "We don't use that term here," the shrink retorts. The tone is set…
A trailer studying from every angle
The trailer also introduces one believed to be a young Morpheus, played by franchise newcomer Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The character hands Neo a red pill, saying "take flight!" ". Laurence Fishburne has apparently not been asked to reprise her role in this sequel.
All over the Internet, fans are already starting to build theories or fret about the quality of this sequel which will arrive in French theaters on December 15, 2021. It must be said that the trailer distills some elements specific to the saga and others a little more obscure. There are black cats, dojo and hallway fights, high speed action sequences, half-stopped bullets in the air and Neo must follow a woman again to learn the truth.
So what do you think?
