It's the perfect time of year when all the celebrities come together to stage fantastic numbers, strut on the red carpets in the best designs and create memorable moments. There are so many scenes we remember from award seasons that it's hard to pick just a few for this article.
Some are hilarious, some are a bit sad, and some… Well, they are from a completely different category. It's about those moments that made us ashamed when we saw them happen. These are the most embarrassing and ridiculous moments that happened during awards shows that made celebrities look less perfect and more human.
And the Oscar goes to… The wrong movie!
The Academy Awards have always been the most prestigious of the season. And winning the Oscar for Best Picture is probably any filmmaker's dream. But, apparently, even in these ceremonies things can go wrong. In 2017, when Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty presented the Best Picture award, they received the wrong envelope and announced “La La Land” as the winners.
It was only after the entire cast and crew were onstage giving the relevant speeches that the bug was corrected. Someone blew at "La La Land" producer Jordan Horowitz that others were the winners and then, when it came time to speak, he said, "'Moonlight,' you guys won." Needless to say, all of us who were there and who saw it on the screen were stunned.
