Opens its seventh charity center
The Colombian singer took advantage of her trip to give a boost to her charitable foundation, the Pies Descalzos Foundation, and in 2020 she will open an innovative school in one of the most marginal neighborhoods of Barranquilla. It will be the seventh center in the country. Thus, on November 2, Shakira laid the first stone of her seventh Colombian center, which will also be located in her hometown, in the El Bosque neighborhood, a few meters from the overcrowded municipal jail, a neighborhood in which taxi drivers refuse to enter. It will open in 2020. And the group of psychologists, educators, anthropologists and historians who will define the characteristics of the neighborhood and train its community leaders has already landed.
