Dwayne Johnson: men cry too
Actor Dwayne Johnson cries, he too gets depressed. He has money, he has fame, he owns an enviable bearing, but even so, he is not exempt from suffering from depression.
It transpired that one of his triggers was seeing his mother's suicide attempt when he was a teenager. A ghost that has not disappeared.
But Dwayne Johnson doesn't give up. He now encourages men to talk about his problems.
The words of Dwayne Johnson
"Depression never discriminates," the 45-year-old actor wrote on Twitter. The more than 12.7 million followers of him have not stopped supporting him since then.
“It took me a long time to figure it out, but the key is not to be afraid to speak up. Especially us men, who have a tendency to keep things to ourselves. You're not alone".
Johnson is currently promoting the Warner Bros. action movie "Rampage."
The suicide attempt
"I got to a point where I didn't want to do anything, or go anywhere," said the star of the movie "Fast & Furious." "I was constantly crying," he added.
When Johnson was 15 years old, he saw his mother, Ata, walking into heavy freeway traffic shortly after they were evicted from her apartment.
The actor said he was able to get her off the road, but then plunged into several years of depression made more difficult by injuries that slowed his football career and a breakup with a girlfriend.
"We both heal," Johnson said of himself and his mother, "but we always have to do our best to pay attention when other people are in pain."
This has been a recurring theme in the career of the Rock
