Who was the masked man who accompanied Kim Kardashian to the Met?

After her sounded divorce from Kanye West, suspicions and rumors about her return have skyrocketed

At the end of August, Kanye West organized a macro listening party -a meeting in which music is listened to- to present what is his latest work, 'Donda'. He did not do it in a recording studio, nor in his grand mansion, but he filled an Atlanta stadium to fill all seats.

He appeared on the scene fully covered, from head to toe. His face was covered by a ski mask that only revealed his eyes. Kim Kardashian, his ex-wife, appeared in the middle of the stage wrapped in a Balenciaga wedding dress.

Minutes earlier, she appeared with her little girl in the same incognito outfit that West wore at the concert. And this was not the result of chance. Since then the businesswoman has become a kind of black widow who attends all events wrapped in a tight black mesh.

Her outfit for her Met gala could not be exempt from this new and curious trend. Kardashian appeared on the New York steps covered entirely in black, with a cape dress, xl boots and a balaclava that only revealed her long hair gathered in a high ponytail.

The surprise, beyond the outfit, was in her unknown partner. In recent editions, Kanye West had always accompanied the businesswoman, but since the divorce was formalized, everyone ruled out that they went together to the great night of fashion.

But that unknown man set off all the alarms. Was it Kanye West? Has the couple reconciled? Many media outlets confirmed his identity. "It's West," they said, because of his pose and his aesthetic. Nothing further from reality. The man behind that eccentric look was Balenciaga's creative director, Demna Gvasalia.

A close source explained to E! News that it was Kanye West himself who forged that friendship between Kim Kardashian and Gvasalia. As for the new Kardashian aesthetic, he speculated: "This look from Kim is like a new subculture and fashion statement. No logo, no face, but everyone knows it's her."
