All Jennifer Lopez movies coming to Netflix soon
Jennifer Lopez recently married Netflix and signed a comprehensive production deal. There are three upcoming Netflix original projects currently announced and we'll explain them below.
Commonly known as J.Lo, the versatile artist is known as much for her great roles in Hollywood as for her long career in the music industry. Her best known films include Gigli, The Cell and 1997's Selena. In recent years, she has been best known for the 2019 film Scammers.
In June 2021, it was announced that a "multi-year production deal" had been reached (though Jennifer Lopez has since been linked to projects elsewhere). The deal is with Jennifer Lopez's production company, Nuyorican Productions.
Jennifer Lopez is also expected to appear in the 2022 Lionsgate film, Forced Marriage.
So now let's dive into the upcoming movies that will feature Jennifer Lopez both behind and in front of the camera:
Mother
Director: Niki Caro
Writer: Misha Green
Described as a female-directed action thriller, The Mother will be the first of the three currently announced films to hit Netflix with production starting in late 2021.
Here's a full look at what you can expect from the story:
Encryption
Writer: Isabella Maldonado
Adapting the novel by Isabella Maldonado, The Cipher was announced in December 2020, although it is currently unknown where it is in development.
Jennifer Lopez will headline the film as FB Special Agent Nina Guerrera, who notably escaped the trap of a serial killer at age 16 and now dedicates her life to justice. In one case, the one featured in the movie, she has to solve complicated codes and puzzles that lead to a cat and mouse chase.

Writer: Aron Eli Coleite
Shortly after the new production deal with Netflix, the sci-fi movie was announced. Atlas, however, we currently don't know how far along it is in production, other than that the script is ready.
The production, which runs under the working title Zerotime before Atlas, comes from Safehouse Pictures and ASAP Entertainment.
