Bill Gates, ranked as 'the most powerful doctor in the world', according to Google
The search engine places the billionaire in the first place, despite being unqualified.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates is listed as "the most powerful doctor in the world," according to Google search results.
Yet despite positioning himself as a medical expert during the COVID-19 pandemic, Gates is not a qualified physician.
While many have been questioning Gates' medical credentials, his critics say the strange search result is actually due to the billionaire's priorities having aligned with those of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Over the past decade, the world's third-richest man has become the second-largest donor to WHO.
Google's result is reportedly based on a 2017 Politico article describing Gates' "influence" on the WHO.
The article is titled: "Meet the World's Most Powerful Doctor: Bill Gates."
According to Insider Paper, the Politico article is the reason Gates ranks as the highest-ranking response (even in snippet results) on Google search.

If you look, Gates's name appears in most of the results on the main page of this query.
However, news of the billionaire's new status at Google was not well received on social media.
One Twitter user wrote: “Who is the most powerful doctor? Google it.
"The results will surprise you."
Another user said: "Google‘ who is the most powerful doctor in the world ’, tell me what comes up and then try to tell me that I am a conspiracy theorist."
"Why is it when you google the most powerful in the medical world, does Bill Gates come up ?," one user on Twitter posed a question.
Many users pointed out that not only Google, but also Apple's Siri, gives you the same answer.
If you ask Siri the same question, it will show you the same search results, the answer to which is Bill Gates.
One user tweeted: "Strangely, I asked Siri who is the most powerful doctor in the world, said Bill Gates, then I asked him who was the most powerful doctor in the world, again Bill Gates… crazy !!"
However, despite Big Tech's insistence on the matter, Bill Gates does not have a conventional medical degree.
In 1973, he enrolled at Harvard University, but left two years later to found Microsoft.
However, Gates has received several honorary degrees, both medical and legal.
