Affleck is one of his protagonists and plays the role of the owner of a bar and uncle of the character of Tye Sheridan, a boy who has trouble finding father figures in his life. On the red carpet, the two spoke with ET to discuss the possibility that they might one day star on the screen together.
Affleck admits, "We had a great experience working together previously, he produced 'Argo' [with me]," referring to the 2012 drama that won the Oscar for Best Picture, and which reported statuettes for both Ben Affleck and Clooney. "He's so experienced doing his thing, doing this job, and it's kind of a knack. Because he cuts out all the noise and gets right to the x, y, z. Bing, bang, boom."
Ben, who is also an acclaimed producer, said Clooney "is the best and most accurate director that he [has] worked with." The actor continues to flatter his partner, "He's so good and so smart and creates a great atmosphere." When asked if he would be willing to star in a project with Clooney, the star admitted "I would love to," but that "I would have to hire him. He would have to hire himself and me. Maybe that's the next step."
Lastly Affleck shared, "The truth is, he's really good at this," referring to his talented friend and partner.
Clooney's opinion on the possibility of starring in a project with Affleck
They also asked George Clooney about the possibility of co-starring on the screen with Affleck in the future. To this, the star jokes, "He's taller than me! He makes Me look like Mickey Rooney when I get next to this guy!"
He further adds, "I think it would be too sexy for a single screen. Because he was the Sexiest Man Alive winner once. But not twice," referring to his own titles such as People's Sexiest Man Alive in 1997 and 2006. "I'm just going. to say that ... but [yes], it would be too sexy, I think, for a movie. "
Clooney's new project, 'The Bar of Great Hopes', which also stars Lily Rabe and Christopher Lloyd, will open in some theaters in Los Angeles and New York on December 17, and in the rest of the world on December 22. month.
