Oscar winner to make a film about the last days of Trump's presidency
Barry Levinson, who won the Oscar for directing him in Rain Man, would be in charge of a film that reflects the chaos of the last days of Donald Trump's presidency in the United States.
According to Screen Daily, the director is in talks to sit in the chair of The Winner, a project written by Alessandro Camon (The Messenger).
“I wrote The Winner for fun and as a way to deal with the emotional roller coaster of the last few years. I'm excited to be working with Ed (Pressman, the producer), who has done some of my favorite movies and who wanted the script right away, ”said the screenwriter.
"Ultimately, we believe that Trump is a character that can only be fully understood through fiction," he added.
Pressman (Wall Street), in a statement, assured that the casting of the film would surprise everyone for being unconventional.
“I love this kind of dark comedy, it reminds me of another movie I did, American Psycho. The Winner is a wild ride through one of the most chaotic moments in American history, ”he said.
