The end of the 'Fast & Furious' saga could bring back Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner
Justin Lin, director of the outcome of the franchise 'At full throttle', has advanced this possibility in order to put the finishing touch to the story of Dominic Toretto. The ninth film hits theaters this Friday, July 2.
The full throttle saga is getting closer to reaching its end. Fast & Furious 9, the ninth installment in the franchise, lands on the billboards this Friday, July 2. When this happens, there will only be two more films left to put the finishing touch on the story of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his Family. And to bid farewell to fans, director Justin Lin is considering bringing back Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner.
Lin, who has already been behind the cameras in several installments of the saga -Fast & Furious 9 included-, will repeat as director in Fast & Furious 10 and Fast & Furious 11 and has advanced that he is thinking of recovering the great companion of Adventures of Dominic Toretto.
Obviously, Paul and his character Brian are the heart and soul of how we've progressed. Bringing him back is something I think about every day. As we approach the end of the franchise, it is a conversation that I am having. I think about this possibility every day
Walker was killed in a car accident in November 2013. The actor was filming Fast & Furious 7 when the tragedy occurred and, to end the film, his brothers Caleb and Cody Walker and body double John Brotherton replaced him. To achieve a good final result, the CGI was key.
The full throttle saga is not the only one that has used special effects for something like that. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story also recovered Moff Tarkin with the face of its original actor Peter Cushing, who died in 1994. It was Guy Henry who played the character during filming and, through CGI, Cushing's face was recreated .
The ending of Fast & Furious 7 is undoubtedly the most emotional in the entire franchise. In the end, Brian and Dominic said goodbye by taking different roads. However, fans could see the two together again at the end of the story. Recently, Diesel has acknowledged that he already knows what scene will put the finishing touch to the saga. Does it have to do with a moment between Brian and Dom?
Fast & Furious 9 features the return of Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson and Nathalie Emmanuel in its cast. Also with the new addition of John Cena, who plays Jakob Toretto, Dom's brother. Above these lines, don't miss the trailer.
