The woman was killed by an accidental shooting by actor Alec Baldwin.


The entertainment world is shocked after the fatal incident that occurred on the set of the movie 'Rust', in which actor Alec Baldwin accidentally operated a weapon - which was supposed to be blank or props - and ended the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.


In the accident, which occurred near Santa Fe, in the state of New Mexico (USA), the director of the film Joel Souza was also injured.


Baldwin, on his part, has been quite heartbroken by what happened and in the last hours he spoke about it, lamenting the death of Hutchins.


"I have no words to convey my shock and sadness over the tragic accident that claimed the life of Halyna Hutchins, our deeply admired wife, mother and colleague. I am fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred," the actor wrote. on his Twitter account.


“I am in contact with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, her son, and everyone who knew and loved Halyna. "


Hutchins, 42, was Ukrainian and, in 2015, graduated from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, USA.


Because of her good performance as a cinematographer, in 2019 she was named a 'rising star'.


During the filming days of 'Rust', the photographer shared several images on Instagram of the companions of the 'set' and the Bonanza Creek Ranch, where they were filming.


The last post of her was a video in which she was riding a horse while she was smiling at the camera.


"One of the benefits of filming a 'western' is that you can ride a horse on your day off," she wrote.


Authorities are still investigating the tragedy, trying to find out why a prop gun was loaded.


Meanwhile, several celebrities who knew Hutchins, who was married with a son, have shared heartfelt messages of condolences.

"An incredible talent and a great person. I can't believe this can happen today," wrote Joe Manganiello, actor and husband of Sofía Vergara, on Twitter.


It should be noted that the company in charge of the film's production issued a letter in which it promised to offer psychological help to all people related to the filming, which will be suspended indefinitely.
