The most controversial photo of Adam Levine
From "sex symbol" to "retrograde": the controversial uncovers of Maroon 5's voice
The image of the band, especially Adam Levine, has had its ups and downs. Sometimes the appearance of the singer has been praised by the media, in others the background has been questioned as in the case of the Super Bowl 2019.
They were weeks of speculation, rumors and almost certainties until, finally, on December 9, the organizers of ViƱa del Mar 2020 confirmed the attendance of the Americans Maroon 5 to the LXI version of the contest.
The group led by vocalist Adam Levine will be the highlight of this Thursday with songs ranging from "This love" to "Memories." But not only the musical career of the band has been the focus of attention in the public.
Almost ten years ago, in May 2011, the singer's image took a turn. Barely covered by the hands of his then-girlfriend, Victoria's Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna, the voice behind "Girls like you" showed itself in the most revealing side of him.
The 40-year-old artist stripped naked in front of photographer Ben Riggot's camera, appearing on the cover of the English edition of Cosmopolitan less than a year after the release of his album, coincidentally called, Hands All Over.
The photo, however, was not without purpose. Although the magazine highlighted the physical state of the artist - who assured the media that "life is spent naked" - the truth is that the image had a beneficial motive: to fight against prostate and testicular cancer, an initiative led by the British Everyman Foundation.
And that was not the only time. On a second occasion, and only months later, the artist participated in another nude photo shoot for the cover of Russian Vogue, where he posed with Vyalitsyna.
