Users quickly took to social media to speculate that she was more pregnant than previously believed, or that she might be expecting twins.
The 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex showed her belly during an official visit on Tuesday to the home of the Royal Variety Charity in Twickenham, southwest London.
Markle and Prince Harry announced in October that they were expecting her first child in the European spring, but the exact date of the birth has not been revealed.
In high spirits, the Duchess herself commented that she was "very pregnant today" as she spoke to residents of the home during her solo visit from hers.
Several media such as The Sun or Daily Mail speak that Markle would be going through her sixth month of pregnancy, which would mean that her due date would be in March.
The monarch was there to bring some Christmas cheer to retired artists at Brinsworth House, the residential nursing and care home for the Royal Variety Charity.
Brinsworth House, which is owned and managed by the Royal Variety Charity, accommodates 36 residents, all from the entertainment industry.
Famous entertainers who have been cared for at the residential home include Sir Norman Wisdom, Dame Thora Hird, and EastEnders actress Leslie Grantham.
Markle's public appearance comes a day after her scandalous father Thomas begged her - once again - to get in touch with him.
Meghan, known for her role in the hit US legal drama Suits, seemed perfectly at ease in the company of the residents.
A retired actress told her that she "had no children" because she had chosen to have a career. The former TV star responded sympathetically: "I understand perfectly."
