Tom Cruise's divorce: Scientology accused

The first elements reveal that the interference of the sect in the education of their daughter would be the main reason for the departure of Katie Holmes.

The news fell on Friday: the marriage celebrated in 2006 between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will end after the 33-year-old actress filed for divorce. The young woman has decided to end her marriage because of "irreconcilable differences" and claims sole custody of her daughter as well as financial compensation from Tom Cruise, whose fortune is estimated at just over 275 millions of dollars. But behind such a banal announcement in the land of Hollywood, hides a much darker affair involving the Church of Scientology which Tom Cruiseen has already praised publicly.

The 33-year-old curse

Among the odd elements that have punctuated Tom Cruise's relationship with Katie Holmes, there is an element of unsettling coincidence. The American comedian has been married three times during his life. Apart from his marriage to the former heroine of the series Dawson in 2006, the outcome of which is now known, the actor had previously united with two other actresses. He married the one who introduced him to the precepts of Scientology, Mimi Rogers, in 1987, from whom he divorced in 1990. His second marriage to Nicole Kidman the same year also ended in a much publicized divorce in 2001, including the reasons still unclear today probably concerned the religious education of their two children.

What do the three women have in common? They were all 33 years old when they decided to part ways with the actor. Some were quick to find links with the history of Scientology. Among the finds, a few have suggested that the first Church of Scientology was built in Arizona on the 33rd parallel north. Others claim that the number 33 represents the “master” number of the Archangel Michael, as well as the healing power of love.

But the veil on this divorce seems to gradually lift and reveals a prominent place of the sect in the education of their daughter.

Suri enrolled in Scientology?

If the decision fell like a cleaver in our eyes, it seems to have been for Tom Cruise as well. “Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened by this,” representatives for the actor said hours after the news broke.

Even more surprisingly, the actress filed for divorce in New York (not California where the couple resided) and seeks sole custody of their six-year-old daughter, Suri. No doubt she opted for the Big Apple in order to hope to keep a maximum of confidentiality on her approach, since in California the procedures are public and therefore easily searchable. But some argue that the actor is trying to prove that he has taken up residence on the West Coast for several years and that the divorce must be settled there. Tom Cruise thus wishes to fall under the yoke of California jurisdiction, which is more conciliatory with the sharing of custody.

But now the Daily Mail reveals that Katie Holmes wants sole custody of Suri, lest her daughter be deeply embroiled in Scientology; Tom Cruise would have considered sending him to the “Sea Organization” association where children from the age of 5 are taught the precepts of the Church of Scientology. Described by former members of the sect as a true military camp, the star of Mission Impossible would like to immerse his daughter in these programs, which would terrify Katie Holmes.

Additionally, the site claims Katie Holmes would feel watched over by members of the Church. She reportedly called the police several times after observing the presence of armored cars in front of her New York residence.

Murdoch: "Something of the order of evil among Scientologists"

Big news mogul Rupert Murdoch is one of the personalities who has vociferously expressed his views on Scientology's involvement in the two actors' divorce. On his Twitter account, the major shareholder of News Corp (The Daily Telegraph, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, Fox News ...) described Scientology as "a bizarre cult, but huge for the money it they have, with a Tom Cruise who occupies the second or third place in the hierarchy ”.

He continues with a second message in which he continues to denounce this Church by qualifying its members "terrifying" adding that they have something "of the order of evil in them".

Rupert Murdoch owns a stake in 20th Century Fox studios, which notably produced Minority Report and Rain Man in which Tom Cruise is top billing. Aware of the risk he takes by announcing such information, the Australian-American businessman insisted on affirming that he already expects threats but that he does not intend to change his speech.

Tom Cruise, currently filming in Iceland, did not wish to react to these accusations. Anyway, three days after the announcement of the separation, the atmosphere already appears to be nauseating and foreshadows a tough and unhealthy battle.
