When an employee approaches with a tray full of donuts, the singer turns to a companion and says loudly, "What the fuck is that? I hate Americans. I hate America."
After the recording was released by the TMZ entertainment site, the "Love me harder" singer said that she was "angry" with herself for her wrongdoing and apologized for her behavior.
"I am SO proud to be an American," she wrote on her Twitter account. "What I said in a private moment ... was taken out of context and I'm sorry for not being more cautious with my choice of words," she added.
