From singer to lioness, Beyoncé shows us that she is also a very good actress
There have been 10 films in which Beyoncé has shown that she is an integral artist, not to mention that she looks perfect in all of them, and here we remember these interpretations that have even helped to leverage the films in competitions such as the Oscars.
Today Beyoncé is news because she is part of the cast that provided the voices for the new Live Action film of 'The Lion King', but the singer is no stranger to the film industry, so we want to remember the 10 roles she has played in her career as an actress.
It all started in the film 'Beverly Hood', in which Beyoncé appeared alongside Destiny's Child members Michelle and Kelly, who were in charge of the film's soundtrack. Then came the 2002 movie 'Austin Powers in Goldmember', in which she played Foxxy Cleopatra.
A year later Beyoncé made the musical ‘The Fighting Temptations‘ with actor Cuba Gooding Jr., to later show herself as herself in the documentary ‘Fade To Black‘.
But 2006 was the year her Beyoncé proved that she can be an actress in every sense of the word. With her performances in ‘The Pink Panther’ and ‘Dream Girls’, the latter being her first chance to win the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical.
Later came the tapes ‘Cadillac Records‘ and ‘Obsessed‘. In the first, Beyoncé stepped into the shoes of the legendary Etta James, and in the second, the singer was part of an obsessive-compulsive "drama" with Idris Elba and Ali Larter.
Finally 'Queen B' lent her voice to Queen Tara in the animated film 'Epic' and later to Nala in 'The Lion King', in which she also directs the soundtrack and sings the official song, 'Spirit', which already it has its respective video clip and points to be one of the winners in the next awards season.
