Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock were in love with each other, but didn't know it
Love always works in unexpected ways and that is exactly what can sometimes cause one not to realize that our crush also has a crush with us (we know, it is the last straw). However, don't feel bad if it's ever happened to you, it's a universal thing. So much so, that it has happened to Hollywood actors too, just like Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock twenty-five years ago.
In 1994, Reeves and Bullock starred in the movie Speed. Keanu played policeman Jack Traven who, along with the beautiful Annie Porter, played by Sandra, must do everything possible to keep a passenger truck from slowing down. Why? Well, because if the vehicle goes slower, a bomb placed in it can explode.
The chemistry between them is undeniable, although many may argue that precisely that is their job as actors: to make us believe that there is a connection. However, as has happened to several Hollywood couples, there really was love on the film set.
During the promotion of the third installment of the John Wick franchise, Keanu Reeves attended the famous Ellen DeGeneres talk show. The presenter did not miss the opportunity to introduce Reeves to a rather shocking confession from her co-star Bullock of hers.
In December 2018, Sandra admitted that she found Reeves very sweet and quite handsome, so much so that when her co-star's gaze was on her, Bullock just gave a nervous laugh (we get it, we've all been there) . Unfortunately, the actress never confessed her love to him. Between her laughs, he commented that there was something about her that he supposed Keanu never liked.
This is exactly what shocks us, because there really was something about her that Keanu liked. After watching the video of Bullock's confession, Keanu admits that he did not know that Sandra was in love with him and adds the phrase that shocked us all: "She obviously did not know that I had a crush with her either."
Keanu did not reveal his feelings towards Sandra in his attempt to be professional and keep everything within a working relationship. However, he confesses that he was very nice to work with and that Bullock is a truly wonderful person.
We really would have loved to see that love off the screen. There is no doubt that they would have made an incredible couple. The sparks and magic were already there, it was just a matter of daring, leap of faith and venturing out with your feelings.
