The Oscars have always been notoriously famous for garnering unwanted attention, stemming from distasteful episodes of nip slips, tripping and wardrobe malfunctions.
Many celebrated Hollywood celebs have fallen prey to most cringe worthy Oscar moments, marring their memories of the awards.
Here are a few which made to the list.
Emma Stone
Last but not the least, the latest to join the brigade is the gorgeous Emma Stone, who had to fathom a wardrobe malfunction at the 87th Academy Awards . A thigh-high split of her dress revealed rather too much, which was at once captured by shutterbugs and paparazzo's hounding her.
Gwyneth Paltrow
Gwyneth Paltrow tops the chart when it comes to encountering most embarrassing Oscars moments. The actress revealed her most discomforting award memory, "My breast milk kind of decided it was time to come, you know... And I was at the Oscars, and so I hadn't pumped breast milk in a long time. Luckily, the show was over and I had already presented, but...yeah, it wasn't good. It's not a good look at all."
Jennifer Garner
Hollywood hottie and the wife of actor Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner set the precedent of falling on-stage at the Oscars!
The actress tripped while presenting at Oscars 2006. Garner laughed off the incident by saying, "I do my own stunts."
Jennifer Lawrence 'again'!
The Hunger Games star repeated the fall, this time while walking the red carpet at Oscars 2014. JLaw was dressed in a red Dior dress, while she tripped on a cone. In a desperate attempt to save herself, she grabbed Laura Simpson's back!
Jennifer Lopez
Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez encountered a nip slip while presenting an award along with Cameron Diaz at the 2012 Oscars. Lopez was dressed to kill in a custom made Zuhair Murad couture gown.
Sacha Baron Cohen
Sacha Baron Cohen, an English actor celebrated for playing characters like Borat Sagdiyev, and Admiral General Aladeen in the film Dictator, walked the red carpet at 2012 Oscars and pulled a mean prank on television host Ryan Seacrest. Cohen spilled the alleged ashes of North Korea's late dictator Kim Jong-il all over Seacrest's Burberry tux. Nonetheless, the latter was not amused and took offence to the same.

Hollywood heartthrob Jennifer Lawrence probably witnessed the most embarrassing moment of her life, when she tripped while climbing the stairs, to receive the award for Best Actress for her role in Silver Linings Playbook at the 2013 Oscars.
Lawrence, despite the humiliation took it all in her stride and gracefully accepted the award by saying, "You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell, it's really embarrassing".
