Zayn Malik, Yolanda Hadid's relationship is 'full of tension'
Ice cold relationship? Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadidla mom Yolanda Hadid, “have always had problems with each other” before their alleged physical altercation, a source exclusively tells Us Weekly.
"Their relationship was full of tension," says the source, noting that within the family, "Zayn and Yolanda have the biggest problems between them."
Despite his personal problems, the 28-year-old musician's role as the father of his and Gigi's daughter, Khai, has never been questioned.
"Zayn's relationship with his daughter is excellent," adds the source. "The family knows that he is a good father."
While the former One Direction singer's dynamic with his 13-month-old baby appears to be solid, his relationship with the family of his ex-girlfriend is in a rocky spot after he was accused of stalking Yolanda, 57. years, last month.
Malik supposedly went physical with the first one. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star during a September 29 incident at his home in Pennsylvania. Details of the fight didn't make headlines until Thursday, October 28, when TMZ released a report that claimed the “Pillowtalk” singer “hit” Yolanda.
The British musician defended himself in a lengthy Twitter statement. on Thursday, noting that he is a "private person" who wants to "create a safe and private space for my daughter," implying that Yolanda "leaked" the story.
"In an effort to protect that space for her, I agreed not to contest the claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago," he continued. "I have a hopeful thought for the healing and for everyone involved with the harsh words shared, and most importantly, I remain vigilant to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves."
In the middle of the drama, We confirmed that Malik and Gigi, 26, had "quietly separated" after intermittent dates since 2015. The duo previously reconnected in January 2020 and three months later, We confirmed that the model was waiting for the her and Malik's first child.
"They had had problems for a while and tried to solve them," the source said Thursday, noting that Malik and Gigi "still care deeply for each other."
According to court documents obtained by Nosotros on Friday, October 29, Malik was charged with four criminal offenses of harassment. after Yolanda claimed he "pushed" her and yelled profanity at her during the September altercation. He did not contest the charges after previously he said that he "flatly" denied the allegations.
The Dutch model has yet to comment publicly on the incident, but a spokesperson for Gigi told Us in a sentence Thursday that she is "solely focused on the best for Khai" at this time.
A source later told Us that the California native has been "busy with her modeling career" recently and is "leaning on her mother, Yolanda, and sister Bella [Hadid] for support," following the breakup and alleged fight between her mom and her ex boyfriend.
