She was born in Los Angeles in 1998. She is the daughter of Lionel Richie and his ex-wife Diane Alexander. Her sister, the famous Nicole Richie, is adopted, since she has different parents but grew up in the Richie family; she became known in 2000 for her friendship with Paris Hilton.
She also has an older brother named Miles. Since she was little, she was involved in the world of music and entertainment by her father, and at a young age she began to play the piano.
