These days Angelina Jolie is known for being a wholesome mother to a massive brood, who does more charity work than movies.
But of course it hasn’t always been like that and over the years the actress, now 39, has managed to raise eyebrows time and time again.
Over the weekend images emerged of the beautiful brunette back in 1994 as she promoted her film Hackers.
Aged just 19, the racy shoot is far cry from the United Nations special envoy who is married to Brad Pitt that we recognise today.
Kissing her OWN brother
In 2000 Angelina managed to make the world gasp in shock when she planted her huge kiss on her brother's lips.
It sparked incest rumours as the world questioned their close relationship.
But Ang's mum Marcheline's close friend Cis Rundle, who helped take care of the actress as a child, has recently opened up about the moment - claiming it was nothing more than sisterly love.
“The day she kissed Jamie at the Oscars, it was the first day Marcheline was treated for cancer. They left the hospital together and got ready together,” she told Radar Online.
“Nobody in the world knew that they spent the day in the hospital. It was like, ‘Look where we’re at now.’ But the world saw something incestual. It was meant to be ‘Here we are.’ They only ever had each other. They had a very tight relationship with each other and their mother.”
Wearing a vial of Billy Bob Thornton's blood
Before the days of Brad, Angelina enjoyed a rather unconventional marriage to Billy Bob Thornton, who was twenty years her senior.
The are probably best remembered for wearing vials of each other's blood.
Billy recently revealed what caused the questionable statement, and said Ang actually came home with razors and decided they could show their love by wearing each other's blood all the time.
He recently told the Hollywood Reporter: "She thought it would be interesting and romantic if we took a little razorblade and sliced our fingers, smeared a little blood on these lockets and you wear it around your neck just like you wear your son or daughter’s baby hair in one. Same thing."
That ‘drugged-up’ video
Earlier this year a shocking video emerged showing the star looking startlingly thin, with wide blood shot eyes and fidgety eyes as she paced the floor of her apartment.
The video - apparently taken in the late 1990s - was released by Franklin Meyer who alleges he is her former drug dealer.
he claimed: "Angie was a client of mine for several years. I sold her heroin and cocaine.
"One day she called me up and wanted me to drop by her place. That was her way of telling me she wanted me to bring her drugs."
He added: "At the time, I had just bought a video camera and decided to bring it along.
"When I arrived, I just gave her the drugs and then she gave me the money."
Stealing Winona Ryder’s thunder in Girl Interrupted
In 1999 Angelina was thrust into the spotlight due to her role in Girl, Interrupted.
The film was expected to be another hit for Winnona Ryder, who played the lead – Susanna Kaysen – but it was Ange who stole the show.
She played sociopath Lisa Rowe who strikes up a friendship with Susanna.
Her gripping performance won her an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
She also picked up a Screen Actors Guild Award.
The woman behind the Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt split?
In 2005 Angelina was accused of splitting up Hollywood golden couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.
It was reported the Ange and Brad started an affair while filming Mr & Mrs Smith.
While she initially denied the allegations but later admitted they ‘fell in love’ on set.
The pair didn’t comment on their romance until she revealed she was expecting his child at the start of 2006.
Brangelina of course went on to marry and complete their family of six.
Adopting alone
While today the idea of Angelina and children is very normal, back in her wild child heyday she shocked the world when she adopted her first child, seven-month-old Maddox Chivan, from an orphanage in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Angelina had initially applied for adoption while visiting the country but the process was halter in December 2001 when the U.S. government banned adoptions from Cambodia amid allegations of child trafficking.
During the process she split from her then partner Billy Bob and adopted as a single parent.
