Chris Pratt married the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger
The "Jurassic Park" actor and Katherine Schwarzenegger said "I do" at an intimate California wedding after six months of engagement.
Chris Pratt, 39, and Katherine Schwarzenegger, 29, are now husband and wife. The couple got married on Saturday, June 8, after seven months of dating, in an intimate ceremony held in Montecito, California, according to People magazine.
Among the guests, in addition to Arnold Schwarzenegger himself, Hollywood personalities also attended, such as director James Gunn and actor Rob Lowe, a close friend of Pratt since they shared filming on the Parks & Recreation series.
Despite attempts to keep the ceremony away from the paparazzi, several local outlets, including People and Page Six, have published photos of the newlyweds.
The bride herself published this Sunday on her Instagram account a photograph of the couple after saying "yes, I want to" at the ultra-exclusive ranch called San Ysidro.
"Yesterday was the best day of our lives! We became husband and wife before God, our families and those we love. It was intimate and emotional. We feel blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives." she expressed.
"This morning we feel more than blessed," she added.
The eldest daughter of the actor and former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the journalist and writer Maria Shriver wore a white Armani dress with a strapless and a long veil. Pratt, meanwhile, wore a black suit, black shoes, a white shirt and a tie.
"It is clear that it is the happiest day for Katherine. She has not stopped smiling", declared one of the assistants to People magazine. "The whole family looked so happy," he added.
Pratt and Schwarzenegger got engaged last January. "Sweet Katherine, how happy you said yes. I am delighted to marry you," Pratt wrote in announcing his wedding.
After his divorce from the renowned actress Anna Faris, the protagonist of Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic Park began a relationship with the daughter of the former governor of California.
Pratt is the father of 6-year-old Jack, the fruit of his eight-year relationship with Faris.
