Harry Styles opens up about his quirky style
The 'fault' of his flashy dress is on two of his favorite idols.
Although he rose to fame singing with One Direction, Harry Styles has gradually distanced himself from his side as a teenage icon. Some years ago he decided to take a radical turn in his style and today he is one of the most transgressive on the red carpet. Surely you remember one of his last looks at the MET gala: a semitransparent jumpsuit with lace, a pearl earring ... and even multicolored nails! Of course, no one can deny that Styles is the most daring.
His presence on the red carpets is a breath of fresh air and we have to admit that we love that. But what is behind these daring 'looks'? The singer has finally opened up about his style and has told the reasons that have led him to this radical change. A turn that he explained to the British media Dazed, began back in 2015, when he chose to wear flared trousers to a public event, and since then he has not stopped! "I had never worn flared pants before. And it was a lot of fun. I started wearing more and more, and at the same time I felt a lot more comfortable with myself," said Styles. In addition, he has also explained that for him, clothes are part of the show and that is something he has learned from his references: David Bowie and Elvis Preysler.
While some of us feel comfortable in simple jeans and a white T-shirt, Harry Styles is one of those who thinks that before dead than simple. "Going on stage in a crazy suit with a lot of sequins makes you feel good, and then you want to play," said the artist.
In the end, it all comes down to dressing without prejudice, simply as it makes one feel good and that is something that the British seem to be very clear about. "I feel lucky to be in a group of people, hard-working and friendly, where they are very free. They are all open to being themselves and making me feel comfortable to try different things and have a little more fun," he added.
