Joan Collins: 'Aniston is cute, but Angelina is much prettier'
Jennifer Aniston has a pretty face, but she is not as beautiful as Angelina Jolie for Joan Collins.
Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie are often compared due to their connection with Brad Pitt. While both are endowed with great looks, the Friends alum is not really beautiful for Joan Collins.
Jennifer Aniston not as beautiful as Angelina Jolie
Joan Collins said in an interview back in 2010 that the people were “starves of gorgeous people.” She looked back at the golden age of film dominated by beauties like Audrey Hepburn, Ava Gardner, and Grace Kelly.
“When I was young, everybody on screen was gorgeous,” she shared per Daily Mail.
She then went on and mentioned Pitt’s exes. For her, the only good looking star was Angelina Jolie.
‘I have to say, there aren’t that many good looking actresses around today. I mean, there’s Angelina Jolie and there’s… Angelina Jolie,” she said.
“Jennifer Aniston is cute, but I wouldn’t call her beautiful. She’s no Ava [Gardner] or Lana [Turner].”
Jolie and Aniston’s encounter revisited
Jennifer Aniston said that she met Angelina Jolie once. Their encounter happened before Brad Pitt started filming with Jolie for Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
The Morning Show star recalled how she pulled over and introduced herself to the Maleficent actress. According to Aniston, she told Jolie that her husband, Brad Pitt, was excited to film with her. She also hoped that they would have a great time together.
It seemed that they did because they couldn’t stop giggling while filming. Shortly after Pitt and Jolie started filming, Aniston felt that he was emotionally unavailable to her.
Aniston called Jolie ‘uncool’
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie filmed their action-comedy movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004. In 2005, Pitt and Jennifer Aniston announced their separation.
The Friends alum did not hide her frustrations and pain when she saw Pitt and Jolie’s beach photos in Kenya shortly after the split. To make the matter worse, Maddox was with them, and it seemed that Pitt found an instant family after they parted ways.
Jolie and Pitt denied the rumors that they fell on set. Pitt even defended Jolie in one of his past interviews.
“What people don’t understand is that we filmed Mr. & Mrs. Smith for a year,” Pitt said.
“We were still filming after Jen (Aniston) and I split up. Even then, it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t.”
However, Jolie seemed to say otherwise. In a previous interview with Vogue, she said there was an instant connection between them. She also admitted that she couldn’t wait to get to work with Pitt.
Aniston called Jolie’s revelation “uncool” because Pitt was married to her at the time.
