Madonna’s Brit fall declared most shocking celeb moment of year (Photo)
Climbing up some stairs, surrounded by dancers and covered by an immense black cape designed by Armani. This is how Madonna began her performance at the 2015 Brit Awards ceremony. The queen of pop was in charge of closing the British music festival held this Wednesday in London. But just 30 seconds after starting her interpretation of Living for love, and due to a wardrobe failure, a lack of coordination with one of her dancers, or a mixture of both factors, they made the blonde ambition end on the floor.
As Madonna has told through her Facebook page, her cape was so tight that she did not have time to get rid of it. At one point in the choreography, one of the dancers pulled the cape and without realizing that it was still attached, the artist was thrown down the stairs, falling several steps on her back.
Although the music continued to play, the audience was silent at the O2 Arena until Madonna, far from interrupting the performance or getting into a rage, stood up and continued singing live as usual, demonstrating her tables on stage.
During the performance and following the bullfighting theme that she had already shown in the official video and during the Grammy Awards, the singer pretended to be a bullfighter, while her dancers were the bulls.
In just a few minutes the fall of the Madonna became a worldwide trending topic on Twitter and videos, jokes and memes flooded the network, turning the performance into a viral phenomenon. Although many of the comments made reference to her age, 56, others praised the professionalism of the queen of pop on stage and her enviable physical form.
