Bella Hadid was born on October 9, 1996 in Los Angeles. Daughter of Mohammed Hadid and Yolanda Foster, she has an older sister Gigi (born 1995) and a younger brother Anwar (born 1999). She was 4 when her parents divorced. His mother later remarried to Canadian music producer David Foster. She grows up in the Californian sun, and follows in the footsteps of her mother, a former model converted into a reality TV personality.
Like her older sister, Bella Hadid moved to New York to start a career in modeling and signed a contract with the IMG agency in 2014. It didn't take long for her to find a place on the catwalks. Erected to the rank of it girl, she counts among her friends the sisters Jenner and Sofia Richie. Very courted, she became the Balmain muse with her sister Gigi, followed the covers of magazines (Seventeen, Vogue Australia, Elle), and parades (Tom Ford, Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs).
At the same time, Bella Hadid made a foray onto the small screen in a few episodes of the reality TV show Real Housewives: Beverly Hills, a program in which her mother participated (2014–2015). In December 2015, she walked for the first time for Karl Lagerfeld, who, seduced by his pretty face, invited her to Rome for the Chanel Métiers d'art show.
On the private side, Bella Hadid was the companion of Canadian singer The Weeknd (2015–2016).
