Jennifer Aniston only met Angelina Jolie once and told her this
Jennifer Aniston only met Brad Pitt’s second wife, Angelina Jolie, once and she shared how their encounter went.
Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie have been pitted against each other due to their relationship with Brad Pitt. Although the two ladies are very popular in Hollywood, they have only met once.
Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie’s only encounter
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt wed in 2000 and divorced five years later. Prior to their separation, he had an upcoming movie with Jolie – the 2004 action romance Mr. Mrs. Smith.
According to the Friends alum, she was already aware of the project months before her then-husband started filming with Jolie. In fact, she met the Maleficent star and she reached out to her.
“I pulled over and introduced myself,” Aniston told Vanity Fair.
“I said, ‘Brad is so excited about working with you. I hope you guys have a really good time.’”
Aniston called Jolie “uncool”
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s marriage went downhill when he started his film with Angelina Jolie. According to sources, they fell in love on the set.
In Jolie’s past interview, she recalled her connection with Pitt and how she couldn’t get to work and be with him.
The Murder Mystery actress wasn’t happy after learning about the interview. In fact, Aniston called it “uncool.”
“There was stuff printed that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening,” Aniston said.
“I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. That stuff about how she couldn’t wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool,” she added.
Aniston called Pitt insensitive
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie also graced W magazine’s 60-page photo spread while promoting the movie. The move raised several eyebrows especially because Pitt just ended her marriage with Aniston at the time.
According to Aniston, she knew her ex-husband did not intend to rub something in her face. However, she admitted that Pitt lacked the “sensitivity chip.”
Pitt also said something in a past interview that many felt was a dig to his first wife. Pitt said he wasn’t living an “interesting life” when he was with Aniston.
Several reacted negatively because, for them, he was implying that Aniston was boring. The negative reactions prompted the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor to correct his statement to clear the issue.
“The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself — and that, I am responsible for,” Pitt explained.
