Biel may have been sexy in Summer Catch but she didn’t fully lean into her s*-*-x appeal until The Rules of Attraction. In this black comedy-drama, Biel plays the promiscuous Lara, a college student who hooks up with the scummy brother of American Psycho‘s Patrick Bateman, Sean Bateman (James van der Beek).
Yes, really. The real kicker? Their hot and heavy tryst happened at a “Dressed to Get Screwed” party. Afterward Sean leaves Lara to try to be with another woman. Considering his brother’s murderous history, we’re counting that as an absolute win for Biel’s Lara.
