Madonna wants to recreate the iconic kiss with Britney on her next tour
Two pop culture icons together again? Yes please! A couple of days ago, Madonna did a Live on Instagram to answer questions from her fans and when one of them asked her if she had plans to tour, she had the best answer: “Stadium, baby! Me and Britney, what do you think about that?
If the first thing that came to mind is the iconic kiss between Britney and Madonna during their joint performance at the MTV Video Music Awards 19 years ago, you think the same as the “Vogue” singer. The queen of pop also casually commented during her Live that they could "recreate the original kiss" from her unforgettable performance.
While Britney Spears has made it clear on multiple occasions that she hated her busy touring schedule and even said she never wanted to do it again after her release, we're hopeful she'll reconsider Maddona's proposal and gift her fans with the current version of the iconic moment that will go down in history.
The last time the singers worked together was in 2008, when the singer of "Oops I Did It Again" appeared by surprise at one of the pop queen's concerts. What is a fact is that they are still friends. Madonna supported Britney through her legal battle against her father, calling Brit's experience a "human rights violation."
We hope that Madonna's statements in her Live transcend and that they do not remain a simple comment because perhaps Britney will not agree to tour the world, but perhaps she will agree to get on stage with her at least once and recreate her famous kiss.
