Stormy Daniels could bring down Donald Trump over scandal and 'threats' claim

Stormy has lifted the lid on her 'affair' with the tycoon on TV and claims a threat was made against her daughter in bid to silence her.

Donald Trump is facing a  scandal that could rock his presidency after p**n star Stormy Daniels last night gave a major TV interview.

In the tell-all show on CNN’s 60 Minutes programmed she lifted the lid on her alleged affair with the US President and the $130,000 hush money she was paid to keep quiet.

She also revealed for the first time details of alleged threats made against her not to speak.

Her lawyer Michael Avenatti hinted there were potentially explosive details to come out. He tweeted a picture on Friday suggesting he had a DVD with bombshell information.

And it came as reports suggested Trump may be forced to testify in court about the s**xual allegations.

Speaking to the Washington Post ahead of the CNN interview, Daniels, 39, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, said: “Being in the adult industry, I’ve developed a thick skin.

“But nothing could truly prepare someone for this.”

She first gave an interview to the American tabloid In Touch. But it was not published at the time.

In 2016, during the final months of the presidential campaign, she again spoke to media outlets but did not give another interview.

Instead, she and her former lawyer struck a deal with Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen, according to Daniels’s suit.

In late October, days before the presidential election, she was paid $130,000 in exchange for her silence, the lawsuit said.

In her suit filed earlier this month, she argued that the agreement she signed is void because Trump did not actually sign it.

But if the court holds that the agreement is valid, Daniels could be left bankrupt.

Each violation of the agreement carries a $1million penalty. In court documents filed last week, Cohen said that Daniels had already breached the contract at least 20 times.

The 60 Minutes interview last night provided new details about the alleged effort to silence her.

She told CBS she was on her way to a fitness class with her child when an unknown man approached her. She said: "And a guy walked up on me and said to me, 'Leave Trump alone. Forget the story.'

"And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, 'That's a beautiful little girl. It'd be a shame if something happened to her mom.' And then he was gone."

Trump's lawyer Cohen said he made the payment but he has not said what it was for.

US watchdog group Common Cause argued that the payment was intended to influence the 2016 election by silencing Daniels and therefore was an illegal in-kind contribution to Trump’s campaign.

The 60 Minutes broadcast – fronted by journalist Anderson Cooper – came just 72 hours after former Playboy star Karen McDougal spoke to CNN about her own alleged affair with Trump before he became president.

She sued to break free of a confidentiality agreement that was struck in the months before the 2016 election, for which she was paid $150,000.

McDougal said she signed her contract with the parent company of the National Enquirer, who are run by a friend of Trump’s, and who bought her story not to publish it, but to bury it.

Both women say their relationships with Trump, 71, began in 2006 and ended in 2007.

McDougal, 47, who was Playboy’s “Playmate of the Year” for 1998, claimed she had a 10-month affair with Trump just after his son Barron was born.

Meanwhile, a third woman, Summer Zervos, 43, who was “fired” by Trump on The Apprentice reality TV show, secured a New York supreme court ruling that her lawsuit against him can move forward.

She claims Trump defamed her after she accused him in October 2016 of s**xually assaulting her in 2007.

US reports suggest the s**xual allegations could be a greater threat to his presidency than the current probe into Russian interference with the US election.
